Wireless : Mobile gambling to take off soon

The attractive odds offered and the chance to win lots of money are just some of the reasons that mobile gambling is poised to take off globally. However, Matti Zinder, CEO of Israeli mobile gambling solutions provider, Spin³, said that there are also extensive measures in place to ensure that youth, teenagers and those with a gambling obsession do not go overboard.
Spin³ is one of the few industry players to incorporate all of these measures into an integrated solution which includes daily limits on the total bet amount and requiring players to submit credit card and personal identification information to confirm their age. According to third party figures, revenues from mobile gambling will grow from US$1.2 billion currently to US$7.6 billion in 2010, with Asia Pacific contributing US$2.7 billion. Zinder expects that Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong and Thailand will be some of the key mobile gambling markets in the region.
